Meaning of colors of the black & white photo material:
1. White, the fixed photographic paper, in which nothing changes anymore. Black, the developed picture, what has already happened and is irrevocable. Black and white parts have got secured, the contrast and the contact of the two constants, the image itself, and also the thing it depicts.
2. Violet the unfixed photographic paper, in which everything is still changing. Violet is light-, time- and chemical sensitive, slowly approaches the shades of blacks and conceals what is personal. The process, after the photographic paper comes to light, is still susceptible, partially reversible.
3. Yellow, this inhealthy yellow colour came into being by the subsequent fixing of the already violet photograhic paper. From this time on it may also be called unchangeable but up to then it had to go through everything.
1. Fehér, a fixált fotópapír, amelyen már semmi sem változik. Fekete, az előhívott kép, ami már visszavonhatatlanul megtörtént. A fehér és fekete részek biztonságban vannak; e két állandó kontrasztja és kapcsolata a kép maga, és az is, amit a kép ábrázol.
2. Lila, a fixálatlan fotópapír, melyen még minden változhat. A lila fény-, idő- és vegyszerérzékeny; lassan eléri a feketék mély tónusait, és elrejti, ami túl személyes. A fotópapír, amely fényt kapott, még érzékeny, még változtatható.
3. Sárga, ez a betegesen sárga szín úgy keletkezik, hogy a már belilult fotopapírt kifixáljuk. Ettől kezdve már ez is változtathatatlan, de hogy idáig eljusson, már mindenen keresztül kellett mennie.
